Credits & per-section pricing
PlanMySaaS charges credits the moment each section starts running, not in one upfront lump. The structure is simple: two tiers, two prices, and the credits you pay always map to sections you actually received.
22 sections in a greenfield report. Most analysis sections sit here.
9 sections: verdict, risk register, JTBD, validation experiments, SWOT, Porter's, BMC, PMF score, upgrade verdict.
Full-run totals
22 × 20 + 8 × 5030 sections total; the synthesis layer adds 5 strategic frames + the cross-cutting verdict/roast/exec summary.
4 × 20 + 1 × 505 sections covering snapshot, positioning, tech debt, opportunity, and upgrade verdict.
Refund-on-fail, never double-charged
If a section fails to generate — JSON parse error, API timeout, schema validation miss — the exact credits charged for it get refunded in the same ledger entry that surfaces the failure. You will see the refund in your credit history with the reason string identifying which section.
Completed sections are not re-charged on resume. If you re-trigger validation on an idea that already has 18 of 30 sections complete, only the remaining 12 incur charges. The Nova chat "regenerate this section" tool charges the same per-section price, refundable on the same terms.
Out of credits mid-run? Graceful pause.
Old validation tools punish you for running low — they either fail loud mid-report or quietly truncate to garbage. PlanMySaaS pauses the orchestrator the moment a section would charge below your balance, leaves the remaining sections at pending, and the idea status drops back to intake_complete until you top up. Open the same idea after topup, hit Generate again, and the pipeline resumes from the first pending section.
Plan-tier gating
Free workspaces get 100 credits on signup — enough to run one Quick-Check-style scoped idea, but not a full 840-credit greenfield. Paid plans (Starter / Pro / Team) get a monthly allowance that covers 1-8 full reports depending on tier. Topups are available on every plan; the same per-section pricing applies regardless of plan.
For anti-abuse, free-tier workspaces can run at most 2 validations per 24 hours; paid plans have higher rate limits. The exact ceilings are shown in the credit dialog before each run.
