Version Evolution walkthrough

Your SaaS idea evolves as you learn. Version Evolution lets you snapshot your blueprint and generate updated versions — without losing the old ones.

What is a version?

A version is a complete snapshot of your project blueprint at a specific point in time — including wizard data, research, architecture, feature specs, and prompt pack. Versions are labelled V1, V2, V3 etc. and stored permanently within your project.

💡

Creating a new version does NOT delete or overwrite your current blueprint. Both versions coexist inside your project permanently.

When to create a new version

  • You've validated an assumption and want to update product direction based on real user feedback
  • You're pivoting a core module or monetisation model
  • You've changed your tech stack and want a fresh architecture + prompt pack
  • Your MVP is live and you're planning V2 features
  • A key competitor launched something that changes your positioning

How to create a new version

1

Navigate to Versions in the sidebar

Find the Evolution section in your project sidebar and click Versions.

2

Click 'Create New Version'

This creates a copy of your current wizard data as the starting point. You can edit any wizard step before generating.

3

Update your wizard context

Modify the steps that reflect your new direction. You don't need to change everything — just the steps that have evolved.

4

Regenerate your blueprint

Run Generate All or trigger individual stages. The new version incorporates your updated context while the old version remains unchanged.

Comparing versions

In the Prompt Studio, use the version selector in the left panel to switch between prompt pack versions. You can copy prompts from any version and compare how the output has evolved.

Coming soon: side-by-side diff view

A visual diff mode to compare two blueprint versions side by side is planned for Q3 2026.
